My name is Kelli Claudette Torpey and I am a Board Certified, Licensed Professional Art Therapist at Centerstone Kentucky. I provide in-home therapy services for the Community Collaboration for Children (CCC) Pregnancy & Postpartum Program, serving mothers throughout Jefferson County. I enjoy supporting our clients with their treatment and life goals and am grateful for the caring and professional community of peers, staff and management of the Home-Based Therapy / Child and Family Division at 914 E. Broadway.
Prior to working for Centerstone, I most recently led art therapy groups for St. Joseph’s Children’s Home, Wesley Manor Retirement Community, Atria-St. Matthews and private clients. In the past, I also worked full-time for Children First and The Morton Center.
Besides art therapy, yoga is a personal passion. Since I started my yoga journey in 1998 at Yoga East, I continue to experience the healing, energy and spiritual lessons yoga offers. In 2013, I combined yoga with art therapy when I formed Kelli’s Art of Yoga (www.kellisartofyoga.com), which offers yoga and art therapy for adults and children. I have been fortunate to offer yoga and arts/crafts for Yew Dell Garden’s Children in the Dell Program for three summers, along with occasional private workshops. I currently teach yoga on Wednesday nights for Yoga East and substitute-teach for Baptist Health/Milestone Wellness Center when my schedule allows.
When I’m not working, doing or teaching yoga, I enjoy spending quality time with my cats (Pako and Cleo), walking outdoors, creating art and spending time with my friends and family. I feel grateful for my life!
