Brandon Makes This Place Awesome!

“Brandon is a great asset to the Billing Infrastructure team. His knowledge and willingness to help make him a great team coordinator.”
—Joyce Fortin, Insurance Specialist

“Brandon has a go-getter attitude and is always willing to help others (even when it is outside the scope of his normal job duties). Brandon has been in charge of Avatar setup and understands the importance of his job and how it relates to all Avatar users. He works quickly and efficiently on new Avatar setup, as well as problem-solving current setup, to ensure accuracy. He is a great resource and has been invaluable to the Revenue Cycle. “
—Melissa Teague, Revenue Cycle Coordinator

“Brandon goes above and beyond to provide great customer service to co-workers. He does an excellent job with providing any needed follow-up timely. He is a pleasure to work with.”
—Susan Rittenhouse, Chief Administrative Officer

As a Revenue Cycle Coordinator, Brandon coordinates billing infrastructure projects for the Revenue Cycle team, trains team members on system setup and writes ad-hoc crystal reports for the team. Brandon oversees most of the billing system setup changes in Avatar PM, which includes setting up programs, guarantors and service codes; updating fees; and adding and updating 837 billing templates. Brandon’s co-workers value his knowledge and responsiveness. “Brandon is always very responsive to requests and questions regarding billing system setup,” writes Jacob Clark, Billing Infrastructure Team (BIT) Manager.

Brandon has been with Centerstone Kentucky for a year and half, having previously worked at Kindred Healthcare. He and his wife Alicia have four children, three sons and one daughter, and the family has one dog. In his free time, Brandon enjoys spending time with his wife and kids, cheering on the Kentucky Wildcats (Go Big Blue!), hanging out at the fire pit with friends and watching movies.

Brandon is especially proud of his work in raising awareness for Sudden Unexplained Death in Childhood (SUDC). Since losing his own son, Trent, to SUDC nine years ago at the age of three, he and his family have held countless benefits in Trent’s honor. Most recently, they held a benefit at Fairdale Pizza & Pub that included raffles, with the pub donating 15% of total sales to SUDC. This past year, they also started a “Pay It Forward” business card: when you do something nice for someone you can give a card in Trent’s memory. This allows them to spread goodness in Trent’s name and awareness at the same time. They also hosted the SUDC banner with 120+ beautiful faces — including Trent’s — that we have lost around the world. For more information on SUDC, please visit SUDC.org.
